HC Unit Schematic by mike1966 HC Unit Schematic by mike1966
this is a very interesting one for those of you who think my work is merely macabre/horror/surreal - this one's a theory of atomic rings I've been working on (on and off) for about the last twenty years. It started when I wrote a fake-science article for DEMENTIA13 (a UK alternative-fiction mag) back in 1985. That was a lot of fun. But then I got the bug and couldn't let this fake-science idea go. Basically, the HC Unit Schematic describes a radically new way to look at atoms.

HC1 describes Hydrogen, showing how the cyclic nature of the HC Unit offers radicality and 'electron pairing' to the universe. HC72 describes the fourth Nobel gas Krypton... still awake? Well, in layman's terms, you don't need protons, neutrons OR electrons to form atoms.

Enjoy.

thanks to all who've responded to this, there's an updated version of the HC Unit theory on youtube, I didn't need the swastika imagery this time.

Theres a strong Paul Laffoley vibe here. Science, schematics,
but somehow more. Great stuff.

I seriously can't believe ANYONE's still looking at this fake science 'blackboard' image

K-mey, get sober and then come back and give me your honest opinion.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

:)

What?

You want me to explain?

Well, okay then - the HC Unit Schematic is an alternative way to look at atoms. Instead of having a proton/neutron nucleus surrounded by electron shell orbitals, you have a single item, a HC Unit, that can alternate between clockwise and anticlockwise (think of a clock with a hypercubic face rather than a flat face) Universal Equilibrium spin. I think HC Units form atoms by forming linking pairs of HC Units. You'll see from the first Nobel Gas (helium He) that one of the great aims of the system is no net charge where all four HC Units are offering and ready to accept from both neighbours. The more reactive atoms (lithium Li) offer their unfinished four-chain to the world...

:)

You link pairs of HC Units in planar chains like a ring of pearls and atoms are formed.

Silly, isn't it, atoms are flat? Surely not. Well, who said this was a two dimensional schematic?

ha! there's been a really great and positive response to this Deviation - wouldn't surprise me if it turned up on Daily Deviation some day soon

Ok, since I'm revising for a Chemistry exam I think it's best that I don't look at that too much and get confused!

yeah! stick to the standard definitions - THOSE will help you get the exam.

whereas HC Unit thoughts will just mokey all that around...

good luck.

thanks - it was a bit of fun, to show that you don't HAVE to just look at one solution for it to be plausible.

Good lord...it has been ages since I even thought about the elements in science. I actually think the concept behind it is clever as hell. Nice change of pace.
